Jessica Bazzoli was born and raised in Reggio Emilia, located 120 miles south of Milan. She graduated with a degree in Interpreting and Translation at the Università degli Studi di Bologna in 2006. Before and during her university years she studied, worked and lived in Dublin (Ireland), York (England) and Malaga (Spain). She worked as a freelance translator in Italy for a year before being selected for an internship at the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco where she’s been working as the assistant to the Director since April 2008. She loves reading Italian fiction and ecology books, and she has a passion for animals that leads her to do volunteer work whenever she can. Jessica joined the team of the IIS in July 2008..
