Paola Ceruti is the IIS Assistant Director and also a Scuola teacher.

Born and raised in Milano, Paola attended the University of Pavia, where she graduated in Political Science with an emphasis in International Affairs. During her academic career she received two scholarships which allowed her to deepen her international studies abroad. She studied for one year at Leicester University in England and for one semester at the City University of New York, where she completed her final dissertation. Paola taught Italian in a private school in New York City for three years, prior to moving to San Francisco. She has been teaching Italian at the Istituto Italiano Scuola since September 2002.
