| Barbara Matera was born in Bologna, capital of Emilia Romagna, the region famous for its Parmigiano Reggiano, Balsamic Vinegar , Tortellini, Lasagne and Bolognese sauce.
She attended the University of Bologna, one of the oldest universities in the world, obtaining a degree in Mass Media Communication Sociology.
After her graduation in 1998, she moved to San Francisco and began teaching Italian.
Barbara loves the arts and enjoys singing as a soprano, painting and writing poetry. She has been teaching at IIS since 2004. |
