Monica was born in Latina, and obtained her Laurea in Sociology at the University of Roma.

She moved to California in 1998, where she obtained a graphic design degree, and has continued working in the text editing-graphic design realm for local companies.

Monica has also been with the San Paolo Bank filial in New York as office-support-personnel. While in New York, she taught Italian at La Scuola Italiana del Greenwich.

Monica has been teaching at the Istituto Italiano Scuola since September 2002.
