| Gioia Re was born in Padova, a historical town in the Veneto region. She obtained her degree in Foreign Language and Literature at the Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, with particular focus on Russian and French. In Italy she has taught French and has been a principal in the public schools. She has worked as a translator from Russian and French for an Italian publishing company. She has been teaching and directing the IIS since February 1999, and is the IIS website editor. | |||||||
